EndNote® X7.7 for Mac and Windows

We would like to inform you about the release of the latest update for EndNote: EndNote X7.7 for Mac and Windows. We start with the known download instructions. Then we continue with new the release notes of EndNote X7.7 Mac and Windows.
How to get EndNote X7.7 for Mac and Windows
EndNote® X7.7 for Mac and EndNote® X7.7 for Windows are available at our download portal. The current download version X7.7 is the latest edition and is officially released on September 01, 2016. After login, please go to the 'Files' menu. With the labels at the top of the page you can select version X7.7 (click term) or unselect (click term again). Now you will see an overview of available files and below the files a serial number and product key for your organization. In case you forgot your password: There is a password reset link available at our download portal.
ATTENTION: Starting with version X7 there will be only one product key needed for both Windows and Mac.
IMPORTANT: The EndNote files require special handling (5-10 minutes work) before the files can be distributed to the end users. The special handling instructions, to create the end user distributions, are available in the PDF instruction files:
If you have authorized your end users to install updates:
The end users will be prompted to download and install update X7.7 for Mac or Windows automatically. They may follow the popup screen instructions after starting EndNote X7 or choose 'Check for Updates' in EndNote X7, under the 'EndNote' (Mac) or 'Help' (Windows) menu.

What's new in EndNote X7.7 for Mac and Windows:
This release contains features, critical updates, optimizations and other improvements for:
- Online Search, Find Full Text and Find Reference Update with PubMed via Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
- Using short form, include the title field only when needed to disambiguate a citation
- Cite While You Write improvements, including track changes and format multiple citations via EndNote online
- Importing PDFs.
