Reference Manager and Introducing EndNote X8
Dear Reference Manager Multi User licensees,
As we have announced earlier in September 2015 and on different occasions by email or phone, the sales of Reference Manager has stopped per 01-01-2016 and the official support will end 31-12-2016. We will continue to provide all Reference Manager users with customer and technical support until 31-12-2016. Although, your current Reference Manager version 11 or 12 Multi User License is a perpetual license and will not expire, incompatibilities could occur with future Operating System and/or Word Processor updates.
A new major version release EndNote X8 is announced and expected to be released November 2016. This might be a great opportunity to make the switch from Reference Manager to EndNote.

How to switch to EndNote X7.7 and get X8 once released for free
Depending on your current Reference Manager Multi User (5 or more licenses) version there are two different tracks you might follow:
1. Multi User licensees with Reference Manager 12
2. Multi User Licensees with Reference Manager 11
1. Multi User licensees with Reference Manager 12
A special Upgrade price is available for Reference Manager 12 Multi User licensees. If you purchase the upgrade to version X7 before the release date of version X8 in November 2016, you will get version X7 delivered immediately. EndNote X8 will be provided as soon as it is released in November 2016. Version X8 will be a FREE upgrade if you buy the X7 upgrade now. Contact our sales team for quotation requests and more information about your Multi User license if you have 6 or more licenses. Customers with exactly 5 licenses and without the need to have more than 5 licenses are also invited to contact our sales team or to buy the upgrade to version X7 in our shop. Please do not forget to add the visible FREE pre order version X8 to your shopping cart before checking out.
A special note for our Reference Manager 12 licensees: Once version X8 is released, the special upgrade price will not be applicable anymore. This is your last chance to upgrade to version X7 (and get X8 for free).

Introducing EndNote X8
Thomson Reuters released multiple minor and major updates since 2013. Between X7.0 and X7.7 (last released version) many new features, enhancements and compatibilities (with MS Office and operating systems) have been added to the current EndNote X7 version.
